青楼传媒 is committed to providing employees with a comprehensive benefits package that meets the needs of both the individual and his/her family. Many of the benefits are flexible and offer choices to meet various benefit needs.


Summary of Employee Benefits

Health Care

The University currently offers eligible faculty and staff members three PPO Plans and one HMO Plan: two Health Care Accounts (HCA), Health Savings Account (HSA) and HMO through . All PPO plans are consumer-driven, high-deductible health plans. There is a monthly employee contribution that varies by coverage option. Wellness prevention is covered at 100 percent (in Network) for both plans.

The University currently offers eligible faculty and staff members the option of two dental plans through . You will have the choice of PPO or DHMO plan designs.

The University currently offers eligible faculty and staff members the option of vision insurance through (VSP).

The University currently provides eligible faculty and staff members group term life insurance for two times their annual base salary through . You may also purchase additional optional coverage with maximum benefit limits that include age restrictions.

Disability Benefits

The University currently provides eligible faculty and staff members Short Term Disability benefits through . This employer paid benefit offers a percentage of income continuation based on your years of service, up to maximum income and duration amounts.

The University currently provides eligible faculty and staff members Long Term Disability benefits through . This employer paid benefit offers 60 percent of your monthly base salary after 90 days of a disability, up to maximum income and duration amounts.

Paid Time Off

The University currently offers eligible staff members paid sick leave. Time is accrued based upon your regular and/or part-time schedule.

The University currently offers eligible staff members paid vacation time. Compensated vacations are an accrued benefit. An employee's first day of regular employment at the University shall be referred to as his/her employment anniversary.

The University currently offers eligible staff members paid Jury Duty time to avoid any financial loss because of such service.

The University currently offers eligible staff members to take up to three work days with pay to attend bereavement services and take care of personal matters related to the death of an immediate family member. An immediate family member is considered: a parent, spouse, spouse's parent, child, spouse's child by a former marriage, grandparent, foster parent, brother or sister. Pay for a bereavement leave will be made for actual time lost from work.

Retirement

The University currently offers eligible faculty and staff members retirement benefits through . You may contribute a portion of your salary into an individual retirement plan on a tax-deferred basis not to exceed the maximum exclusion allowance as defined by the Internal Revenue Service. The University will match 50% plus an additional 1% for faculty and 25% plus an additional .5% for staff. The one-year waiting period for a University match will be waived for all employees with existing retirement contracts and for those coming from another educational institution within three months.

Other Benefits

Tuition Waiver

青楼传媒 currently offers eligible faculty and staff members a tuition waiver benefit program for up to two courses or six credit hours per regular semester, after completion of a 90-day probationary period. Spouses and children, who are considered to be dependent, based on the results of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), are eligible on the first day of the term following the employee's one year anniversary. Part-time faculty and staff who work at least 1/2 time are also eligible, though benefits are prorated.

Tuition Exchange Program

The University currently offers children of 青楼传媒 employee's, who are considered to be dependent under FAFSA, three tuition exchange programs with other private colleges and universities. The three tuition exchange programs in which the University participates are:
  • (CCCTE)
  • (CIC-TEP)

The University currently offers all faculty and staff members to join . They offer a variety of financial services. Applications and deduction forms are available in the Office of Human Resources or at the next to the Graham School of Management.

The University currently offers eligible faculty, staff, students, trustees, spouses of faculty and staff, Sisters of Mercy and current President's Club members free membership to the Shannon Center.

Country House Kitchen Dining Services offers 青楼传媒 faculty and staff a 10% discount on any purchase made at the 青楼传媒 Diner or Coffee Cats. To qualify, the purchaser must present a valid Cougar Card. 

The University currently offers all faculty and staff members employee assistance. This program is a confidential service offered through that provides support, counseling, referrals and resources for issues that impact your life. Metropolitan Family Services can help address concerns such as:
  • Financial or legal
  • Child/Elder care
  • Work-life balance
  • Depression and stress
  • Alcohol and drug abuse

The University currently offers eligible faculty and staff members the option of participating in the dependent care and/or health care flexible spending account benefit program. You may elect to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for out-of-pocket medical, dental, vision or dependent care expenses not covered by other benefit plans. Enrollment in the plan(s) cannot be revoked during the calendar year and excess contributions cannot be refunded. (Please note: if you are enrolled in a HSA, your Flexible Spending Account will be considered "Limited Purpose," meaning you may only use these funds for dental and/or vision only.)

Annual Clery Safety Report (ASR) Notice

青楼传媒 is committed to assisting members of the 青楼传媒 community in providing for their own safety and security.

The Clery Act requires colleges and universities that receive federal funding to disseminate a public annual security report (ASR) to employees and students every October 1. This ASR must include statistics of campus crime for the preceding three calendar years, plus details about efforts taken to improve campus safety.

The annual Clery security report is available on the 青楼传媒 Public Safety webpage with other safety information. If you would like to receive the ASR in booklet form, you may stop by the Public Safety Department located on campus in Parking Lot 5 (call campus police at 773-298-3541). The website and booklet contain information regarding campus security and personal safety such as crime prevention and reporting, police law enforcement authority, disciplinary procedures, and other related security policies. They also contain information about crime statistics for the three previous years.

Clery Act crime reporting is not strictly limited to events that occur on campus or within campus buildings and residences. Institutions must include statistics for crime that occur in any of these geographic areas:

  • On campus (anywhere).
  • On-campus student housing.
  • Public property within campus bounds.
  • Public property immediately adjacent to the campus.
  • Non-campus buildings and property owned or controlled by the organization that are used for educational purposes and frequently used by students but not a part of the core campus, or those owned or controlled by a student organization officially recognized by the institution.

This information is required by law and is made available by the Saint Xavier Public Safety Department.
